Privacy Policy

This policy covers how MadeInPaint treats personal information that MadeInPaint collects and receives, when you use its products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, birth date and email address, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

Information Collection and Use

MadeInPaint collects personal information when you register with MadeInPaint, when you use  MadeInPaint products or services, when you visit MadeInPaint pages or the pages of certain MadeInPaint partners.

When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date and ZIP code. When you register with MadeInPaint and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.

MadeInPaint collects information about your transactions with us including information about your use of financial products and services that we offer.

MadeInPaint automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, MadeInPaint cookie information, and the page you request.

MadeInPaint uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you and conduct research

MadeInPaint encourages you to get permission from your parents before sending any personally identifiable information about yourself (such as your name or your e-mail address) over the Internet, to us or to anyone else.

A Note to Parents - PLEASE READ This section of the privacy policy explains our information collection and use practices online for children under the age of thirteen, including what we do with information that we collect and with whom we share that information. We ask that you take the time to review our policy so that you can know exactly how we collect and use information from kids, and so that you will know how you can review or request that we delete your child's information. If you ever have any questions or concerns about this policy, please contact us.

What Information We Collect From Children Under Thirteen

On MadeInPaint.com, MadeInPaint generally limits its collection of information from kids to information such as a fictional screen name that does not personally identify the child. This information is collected so that kids can participate in the activities offered on our Sites without having to provide personally identifiable information.

However, from time to time we may request limited personally identifiable information from kids in order to offer promotions or other activities such as newsletters. If the offered activity involves only a one-time contact with your child, we will request only that the child provide his or her e-mail address. However, if the activity might involve more than one contact with your child, we will request that your child provide your e-mail address before we collect any information from your child other than your child's age and name, which will be used to verify their age and to contact you respectively. MadeInPaint will use your e-mail address to send you an e-mail letting you know about your child's contact, and give you an opportunity to allow your child to participate and provide us with personally identifiable information. Our e-mail will include details on how you may provide us with your consent to allow your child to participate or, in the alternative, how you may prohibit MadeInPaint from any further contact with your child.

Some parts of the Sites require that personally identifiable information be submitted in order to participate. For example, if you want to receive one of our newsletters, you must give us your e-mail address. We won't knowingly allow anyone under the age of thirteen to register with any of our Sites, or to access those features that require registration, except as explicitly disclosed herein.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from a user under the age of thirteen other than in a legally permissible situation, we will delete the information from our records as soon as we discover it.

As a parent or guardian, you may exercise your right to have your and your child's information deleted at any time. Additionally, you may review your child's personally identifiable information at any time.

We will not condition participation in any online activity on disclosure by kids of more information than is reasonably necessary to participate.

How We Use Personally Identifiable Information We Collect From Children Under Thirteen

When we collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen, we will only use that personally identifiable information for the express purpose for which it was collected. The personally identifiable information will not be used for any other purpose, and the personally identifiable information will not be used after the promotion is complete.

We do not share personally identifiable information collected from children under the age of thirteen with any unaffiliated third parties except with third-party service providers who help us maintain our Sites and provide other administrative services to us. We seek to ensure that these unaffiliated third parties may not use the personally identifiable information for any other purpose, and these unaffiliated third parties have agreed to maintain the confidentiality, security and integrity of the personally identifiable information.

Additionally, in the unlikely event that all or substantially all of our assets relating to the Sites are sold or transferred to another party, all personally identifiable information collected and saved by us may be transferred to this acquiring party. Finally, we may disclose your child's personally identifiable information to third parties if we believe we are required to do so in order to comply with law (including court orders and subpoenas); to comply with requests from law enforcement agencies or the government; to enforce our Visitor Agreement; to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property and the rights, privacy, safety or property of our employees or other users of our Sites; to protect our operations; and to permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

In compliance with COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we have adopted the following policies to keep kids safe.

  • • We will NOT knowingly collect, use, or distribute personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 without prior verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.
  • • Personally identifiable information we collect from children under the age of 13 will be used solely by MadeInPaint or its agents for internal purposes only and will NOT be sold or otherwise distributed to third parties.
  • • We will NOT knowingly allow children under the age of 13 access to chat rooms, message boards, email accounts, or other services within MadeInPaint that would allow them to publicly post or otherwise distribute personally identifiable information without prior verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.
  • • We will NOT knowingly ask a child under the age of 13 to divulge more information than is needed to participate in any activity, game, or service.
  • • We will NOT knowingly keep any personally identifiable information that is inadvertently included in a child's email submission, help inquiry, or other one-time request, if we know that the child is under the age of 13. Information will be automatically purged or purged immediately after the issue has been resolved.
  • • We will NOT knowingly post any personally identifiable information that is inadvertently included in a child's submission to a general audience contribution area if we know that the child is under the age of 13. These submissions will be deleted and handled anonymously thereafter.
  • • We will NOT knowingly provide any direct link to websites that are unsuitable for children or teens.
  • • We will advise children under the age of 13 that they MUST obtain permission from their parent or guardian before sharing ANY personal information.

Upon request, MadeInPaint will provide a parent or guardian with a description of the information that may have been provided about their child during a registration process for a program or service of this site. MadeInPaint only asks for a child's or teen's personal information if it is necessary to participate in the program or service.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

MadeInPaint does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except the following circumstances:

  • o We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
  • o We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of MadeInPaint's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
  • o We transfer information about you if MadeInPaint is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, MadeInPaint will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • o MadeInPaint displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click targeted ads meet the targeting criteria—for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.
  • MadeInPaint does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

Third Party Ad Servers

MadeInPaint does allow other companies called third party ad servers or ad networks, to display advertisements on our web sites. Some of these ad networks may place a persistent cookie or web beacon on your computer. Doing this allows them to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad networks may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. MadeInPaint does not have access to or control over the cookies that may be placed by these parties on your computer, and has no control over these parties' privacy policies or information collection practices (if any).

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences.

General:

  • • We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the MadeInPaint service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the MadeInPaint Newsletter, that are considered part of your MadeInPaint account, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.
  • • You can delete your MadeInPaint account by sending an email to madeinpaint@hotmail.com

Confidentiality and Security

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

International Users.

The Information we collect from users is processed and maintained in the United States, where privacy laws may not be as protective as in your home country. If you are using our Site from outside of the United States, by providing Information to us you are consenting to the transfer of the Information to Uruguay for processing in a manner consistent with this Policy.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

MadeInPaint may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information r by placing a prominent notice on our site.
